Situated in western Nepal, Mt Manaslu at 8,163 m (26,758 ft) is one of the coveted 8000m peaks. Adventure Consultants operate a high quality and well resourced ascent via the classic North East face route during the post monsoon season.

Manaslu is considered an ‘achievable’ 8000m peak with minimal objective hazards and the climbing route follows a relatively straightforward line to the summit without any significant technical sections. You will receive the best level of support from your seasoned group of AC guides and Sherpa staff with a focus on small teams and quality first.

This expedition presents a real opportunity for climbers to enter the world of 8000m climbing and is considered similar in difficulty to Cho Oyu in Tibet. The itinerary has been planned with your success in mind.

Manaslu

3 - Steep terrain that requires moderate level climbing skills on snow/ice/rock. Emphasis on good cramponing skills. Will need experience with rope techniques including rappelling/abseiling and snow camping techniques. Fitness and Stamina Rating C - A high standard of fitness. Capable of climbing with a heavy pack (25kg/55lb) for extended periods in mountain conditions. High level of training specific to climbing that would include heavy pack carrying over rough terrain and other preparation such as regular gym/pool/bike training.
