100% SUMMIT SUCCESS FOR EVEREST, LHOTSE AND EVEREST/LHOTSE TEAMS!
Congrats to Anthony Baldry (Australia), Heather Geluk (UK) and AC general manager, Suze Kelly (NZ) on their summit of Lhotse yesterday morning with lead guide and AC CEO, Guy Cotter! Shortly after the main team's summit Sweden's Thomas Stromstedt and AC Guide Dean Staples completed a double summit, summitting Everest on the 21st and Lhotse on the 22nd! The Everest Team of Cason Crane, Dean (Rocket) Hall, Lukas Hochmeister, Josef Hochmeister, Thomas Stromstedt, Simon Gower and Ingolfur Gissurarson all have reached the summit of Everest on May 21 with guides Dean Staples, Lydia Bradey and Ang Dorjee and a Sherpa support team of 16. They are all back at Base Camp now and preparing for the celebrations!
Congrats also go out to AC guide Mike Roberts and Tendi who summitted Everest on Sunday morning and then Lhotse on Monday, helping with a rescue for a client of another team in between.
We still have four spots left on our Antarctic Peninsula private yacht trip in January 2014. You can choose to ski tour, climb with our guides or just observe the amazing wildlife on this once in a lifetime adventure!
On 18 Jan 2013 we moved offices to our new premises at 20 Brownston St., Wanaka! On Feb 8 we had our Grand Opening celebrations with special guest Peter Hillary attending to open the building. Guy Cotter and Peter also climbed Mt Aspiring during his visit with us - read the article in the Otago Daily Times about their climb.
