Private Instruction Courses give you the option to create your own itinerary and content. Whether you aspire to further your skill base through a course in a specific discipline (such as ice climbing) or you require individual attention from your guide to develop skills at your own pace, the Private Instruction Courses are the best option.
Contact us to discuss your aspirations and schedule and we will work with you to design an appropriate and stimulating course format. These courses are best suited to groups of two or more and past course participants have enjoyed dramatic improvements in their climbing standards. Some have even gone on to achieve great success on the world’s steepest climbs and biggest peaks.

We supply all group equipment including ropes, tents and cooking gear and you need only turn up with your personal equipment. We have an extensive array of good quality rental equipment available to supplement your own gear. With a focus towards the best available products Adventure Consultants can offer clients equipment for purchase, with great pricing on package deals available. Please enquire at the time of booking.

Aircraft access
The nature of the New Zealand mountains dictates that we utilise helicopters or ski-planes when entering the backcountry. This saves days of heavy load-carrying and allows us to concentrate on the climbing objective whilst making the best use of fine weather days. Aircraft access costs are included in all trip options except the Alpine Rock Course and First Mountaineering Course which are foot-accessed. In most cases, and should they be required, egress flights out of the mountains are not included and these would incur additional cost if utilised.
