Ascents of New Zealand's famous peaks are coveted as highlights in any climber's career.

Although the peaks in the Southern Alps of New Zealand are only just over 3000m in height, they are similar in ruggedness and valley to summit altitude gains to the higher peaks of the Himalaya.

New Zealand's peaks can be climbed at any time of year but the best season is summer - from November through to April. Trip lengths make allowances for most weather delays.

Here's what others have to say about our guide service in New Zealand:

"On behalf of the "John Clark Group" I would like to thank you, your guides and especially Suze and Christine,
for putting together an exceptional trip for the 5 of us. Our group has climbed all over the world with several
different guiding services but we are of one mind in saying that Adventure Consultants was unsurpassed in
quality, attention to detail and companionship: simply, you are the finest guide service we have encountered
in 15 years of climbing and trekking. Despite our group arriving on different days and having different climbing
objectives, your office was able to develop an impeccably planned, accurate and realistic itinerary that met
all our desires. Thank you again for giving us such a great holiday in New Zealand. We look forward to
working with you in the future."
