Plateau Rosa, 3600m © Paolo Pieroni
The Monte Rosa mountainous region is significant, not only because its highest peak is the second highest summit in the Alps, but also because of the proximity of accessible and climbable summits above 4000m that exist across the greater Monte Rosa massif.

The Adventure Consultants Monte Rosa Summits Programme enables you an opportunity to climb several of these peaks within a short timeframe. If you are a seasoned mountaineer you will enjoy the plentiful summit opportunities whilst some of our guests utilise the opportunity to consolidate cramponing technique and general climbing fitness whilst completing these fine climbs. In fine weather, coupled with a healthy dose of enthusiasm, it is possible to complete six or more of these 4000m+ peaks on our 6 day program!

This option will appeal to those with previous experience who want to enjoy a spectacular new region and is also appropriate for first time alpinists with a good level of fitness and a hiking or rock climbing background. Instruction can be included into your itinerary to get you started followed by the ascents themselves.

Attainable summits include the highest peaks in the Monte Rosa Massif; the Signalkuppe (4554m), Parrotspitz (4436m) and  Piramide Vincent (4215m), as well as Castor (4228m) Pollux (4092m) and the Zermatt Breithorn (4164m).

• Climb six or more summits on this course
• Consolidate sound cramponing snow climbing skills
